Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap: An Essential Repurchase

One Little Vice Beauty Blog: What to wash makeup brushes with Magic soap

I featured a pretty rave review of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap in Green Tea* towards the end of October last year. Well, I've just finished that original little bottle and I've replaced it with a much larger bottle of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap in Almond - which, as you can imagine, has a lovely sweet scent.

I was really surprised by how long the small 59ml bottle lasted me as since I discovered Dr Bronner's Magic Soap I haven't used anything else to wash my makeup brushes - it has become an absolute staple in my beauty routine. Not only do I find it infinitely easier and quicker to use than baby shampoo (which I used previously) but it's also far less wasteful as you don't need very much Magic Soap to get perfectly clean brushes. It does have other uses - you can use it as hand soap or as shower gel - but for me personally it's main job is to get that weekly brush cleanse over and done with as speedily as possible!

There are lots of products that I use fairly regularly that don't get enough mention on my blog and Dr. Bronners' Magic Soap is definitely one of them. If you're looking for a new brush cleanser - or a fair-trade and organic body cleanser - then I'd definitely recommend giving this a try. You can find it on ASOS and Feel Unique - and I'm already eyeing up the brand's other products!

Have you tried Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap before?

  1. Hi, I love this product too! I have been using it for a while now. I have had to replace two sets of brushes now because it caused by brushes to shed so keep an eye out for this! http://www.short-lashes.co.uk

  2. I've heard so many good things about Dr.Bronner! I'm currently coming to the end of my beauty blender solid cleanser and I don't think I can justify paying their prices when this sounds like it does just as good a job, if not better. Thanks for the recommendation :)
