Z for Accessorize is probably the only high street jewellery range that I repeatedly browse and buy. The dainty, and mostly gold-plated, pieces are highly wearable and attractively affordable. With prices falling between £10-£25, the Z for Accessorize line is a good place to look if you fancy treating yourself to a little something without breaking the bank.
Accessorize is owned by Peter Simons, and
his daughter Zara Simons is the woman behind the Z for Accessorize collaboration.
Zara began designing jewellery for her father’s brand when she was only
seventeen, before going on to pursue her interest in jewellery design at
Central St. Martins. Since then, she went on to launch her own luxury jewellery
brand, and has since enjoyed two designer collaborations with Felder Felder.
Knowing this gives some useful perspective
about what the Z for Accessorize line really offers. It allows consumers to buy
into Zara’s experience with luxury design – and
her preference for gold-plated jewellery – at a budget price range. Plus, from my experience, even the more
delicate pieces of jewellery are much more robust than they look! I’ve been
wearing the same Z for Accessorize gold-chain, interspersed with labradorite
stones, for approximately two years now – and it’s still in nearly perfect
condition.
So if you’ve never browsed the range then I’d definitely recommend popping into an Accessorize to take a look – the website doesn’t accurately depict the sizing…
