I got photobombed but as a punishment for my brother I'm using the photo anyway!
Yesterday I traveled to Southbank in London to attend the Origins Ginzing Event which was being hosted as part of #companybeautyweek. It was an event open to everybody and I jumped on the opportunity to go when I saw there were still tickets available. I love the Origins skincare products that I've tried and was very keen to test some of their other products. It was a great way to do so, there was a table with all of Origins skincare and you were welcome to touch, sniff and try out any of the products that caught your eye. There were also very helpful Origins consultants who were ready to help anybody with any queries and to offer product recommendations based on your skin type. Everybody was very friendly and it definitely encouraged me to go along to one of Origins' counters that they have in department stores where you can book a complimentary facial/skincare consultation. If you live in London, I met the ladies who work at the John Lewis counter and they were lovely - so definitely bop along if you'd like to get some personalized product recommendations and try out some of the products to see if you like them (or, more importantly, if your skin likes them).
The venue for the event was OXO2 which is situated on the south bank of the river Thames and the surroundings are just beautiful. You can see St. Paul's Cathedral which gets lit up when the sun sets! I also learnt that this is going to the venue for Cosmopolitan Blog Awards which surprised me as it isn't a huge venue. It's lovely and spacious though and was great for the Origins Ginzing Event as you could circulate through the space very easily making it easier to talk to everyone.
I actually went to the event by myself but was lucky enough to bump into and spend time with Ellie from Ellie's Ramblings, Becky from Lipgloss and Lashes, Ashleigh from Ashleigh's Tea Party and her friend Jen. I met quite a few other people over the course of the evening too so I'm sorry that I haven't mentioned everybody here!
Overall, I had a really lovely time. I had a lot of fun testing out all of the Origins skincare and makeup. I've completely fallen in love with the Zero Oil range (it smells so minty and delicious) as well as the GinZing moisturiser (which Ellie described as smelling like Terry's Chocolate Orange!). A big thank you to both Company Magazine and Origins for hosting such a lovely event.
Have you attended any of the Company Beauty Week events?
