November and December Beauty Empties

I strategically waited to put up my November Empties post because I had quite a few products that I'd almost finished at the end of last month and I wanted to wait until they were done. The result is one hefty empties post that happens to feature quite a few products that I've really enjoyed using.

Benefit They're Real Mascara*
This mascara was very kindly sent to me by Kat who writes Tales of a Pale Face and believe the hype people, it is the king of mascaras. I've loved using it and have already opened another tube. My only gripe is that it really is a hard product to remove, even with oil based products.

Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara
I received this as part of a beauty swap I did with Kayleigh from Beauty Wish and I have to thank her! This is probably one of the nicest drugstore mascaras I've ever used and it is definitely something I'll be repurchasing in the future. I'd highly recommend it and you can read my full review here.

Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment
I bought this as a birthday present for myself after reading how good it was for treating congested skin. I've been using it sparingly for six months now and I definitely have noticed a difference in my skin since I started using it. It is definitely a luxury product but I would certainly repurchase it as I think it is a worthwhile investment. You can read my full review of it here.

Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral Enriched Renewal Cream*
I received this moisturiser at an event I went to at the end of summer and I was really very glad to be able to try it out. I've been really impressed with it and I'll be reviewing this in full soon, I have a post scheduled already (I'm having to schedule like crazy to be able to post regularly). I really tried to delay finishing it because I've enjoyed using it and I would definitely purchase this in the future because I think that it is well worth the money.

Murad Hydro Dynamic Ultimate Moisture Eye Cream*
This is a super luxurious eye cream and I've been using it on and off over the last twelve months. I found it too heavy for daily use (I don't have seriously dry under-eyes) but it was fabulous to use when my skin was a bit dehydrated or I'd been partying a little too hard. I think that eye creams are definitely worth investing in but at approximately £50 this is just too high-end for me to consider repurchasing, but I can vouch for it's quality. If you're after a really luxurious, intensely moisturising eye cream then this is something worth considering.

Lush Buche De Noel Facial Cleanser
This is a really gorgeous cleanser and it is actually a Christmas Limited Edition so all I can say is run out and pick this up before it is too late! I wrote a full review, including details on how I use it, very recently which you can read here. This is another product that I'd happily repurchase.

Treseme Instant Refresh Volumising Dry Shampoo
I like Treseme hair products but I wasn't very impressed with this dry shampoo. It didn't really leave my hair looking that clean and it didn't add any serious volume, and any volume it did add wasn't very long lasting. All in all, this was a disappointment and I wouldn't repurchase it.

L'Occitane Subtle Violet Hand Cream

Oh magazines, why didn't I buy more of you? I received this as a freebie with a magazine last month and at the time I thought "you have a gazillion hand creams, you do not need to stock up". DINGDINGDING - most wrong award goes to past-Angelica. L'Occitane's hand creams are endlessly lovely and Violet scents are among my favourites. There is nothing not to love about this hand cream as despite there being a hundred and one others for me to move on to now that this is finished I will still miss using this one.

Lanolips Intense Rose Hand Balm*
I won a whole bunch of Lanolips' products in an Instagram giveaway over the summer and I'm slowly working my way through their (pretty heavenly) product range. I was very, very impressed with this Hand Balm and I stand by what I said when I reviewed it (you can read my full review here). I'm definitely going to be purchasing this in the future, I think that it does wonders and I've really enjoyed using it.

Indeed Lab's Hydraluron Moisture Booster
Hydraluron is a serum which I've been using pretty regularly since the summer. I have mixed feelings about this product, although they stem more from the hype that surrounds it than from the product itself. I've reviewed it in full and you can read my full review here. In short, I liked using this serum and I have a second tube ready for me to use in the future but I think I'm going to take a break from it so I can give something else a go for a while. It hasn't earned 'holy grail'/'I can't live without it' status for me.

Ren Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Face Mask
I've gone through quite a few sample sizes of Ren's Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask and it is grows on me the more I use it. It leaves me with very smooth, soft skin and it doesn't feel too strong for sensitive skin types. I'd definitely recommend it and I'm considering purchasing a full size.

So that's all the products I've used up over the last two months and it feels as though I got through quite a lot. This is going to be my last empties post of 2013 (a very scary thing to type) and it feels as though this year has really flown by. Thanks to all of you who have been reading this blog throughout 2013, and I'd like to say a big hello to any new subscribers. There's a lot to look forward to in the coming months and I very much hope that you'll be around to share the excitement with me!

    1. Thank you Gita, that means a lot to me! It's a great mascara, it doesn't budge at all and I find it holds a curl well. I think it is definitely worth trying xx

  3. I love empties posts!! I like to see what people thought of it after a full use and it's interesting to see different thoughts on things. My Hydraluron has run out and I'm desperate to get my hands on more! I don't use it instead of a serum though, I use it between a serum and my moisturiser and it makes a big difference for me, but I love hearing how one persons fave isn't so hot for another person. Great post, well done you for using up so much! x x

  6. Ooh I'm going to have to look into the Origins Rejuvenating Treatment if it's good for breakouts! I just can't seem to control my t-zone right now!
I agree with you about Benefit - fab mascara but sometimes I just don't use it because I know it's a pain to take off! I'm using Maybelline The Rocket Volum Express at the mo, which I'd recommend xx
