I'm not usually a fan of 'drugstore' lip balms, I tend to find that they don't do as much for my lips as I want and need them to. However, Nivea's Essential Care Lip Balm is the only super affordable lip balm that I've ever repurchased more than once - and my oh my, I've repurchased this over and over again! I think the tube I'm using now is probably my eighth or ninth tube.
Nivea recently revamped the packaging of their Essential Care Lip Balm and I was keen to see if they had made any changes to the formula. I'm happy to say that it seems to be the same as it's always been - which is great for me because I've always really liked the formula. It's softer in consistency than the other Nivea lip balms that I've tried and it's really quite hydrating. I also love the packaging, I've never had problems with the lid coming off in my handbag and it has a satisfying 'click' to it when you open and close it. It might be boring to some of you but it's honestly a staple of mine so it definitely deserves a mention, especially now because I'm reaching for it more than I normally do. If you're looking for a lip balm to carry around now that it's cold and windy here in the UK then I'd highly recommend it, especially as it has an RRP of just £1.60 (but often you can find it for even less in Superdrug, I bought mine for just £1.10).
Have you tried any of Nivea's lip balms? What lip balm are you using at the moment?

I love this lip balm too! I had an old one knocking about that I tried again recently and was blown away by the formula. At the moment I'm cycling between Baby Lips, Carmex and a Nivea Lip Butter depending on where I am/where the lip balms are in relation to me :P x
ReplyDeleteI love this lip balm! It's a great one for throwing in my handbag because I often lose them and this is easily replaced x

Think I had better try this, my lips never seem to be good this time of the year, and I am still looking for the perfect balm!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried this but I have always bought Chapstick. How would you compare this to Chapstick?
