Look Fantastic July Beauty Box Review #LFSummerLovin

onelittlevice beauty blog

Another month, another fantastic beauty box. When I first received Look Fantastic's July Beauty Box* (£15.00) I was surprised by how light it was. Some months, when there are larger bodycare samples, the box can be pretty hefty, but even though it contains the latest Elle Magazine July's box is really lightweight. However, don't let this put you off, inside you'll find a nice array of daintily sized beauty bits.

Mi Ti x 3* | £4.95 for 3
sample value size £4.95

First up is a set of three hair ties from Mi Ti. I haven't heard of this particular brand before, but I have used similar hair ties. The unique selling point of this sort of product is that they don't leave a kink in your hair after use. So if you want to tie-up your hair whilst you're at the gym or in the bath, then when you finally let it down you'll still and smooth kink-free hair. Although they're not a super exciting addition to a beauty box they are actually very handy, especially for anyone planning on doing any swimming whilst on holiday - just whip up your hair and you'll keep it chlorine/salt free.

sample size value £15.00

For me, this was the most exciting product in this month's Look Fantastic Beauty Box. The In Transit Camera Close-Up is described as a 'mask, moisturiser and primer in one' that supposedly 'evens, plumps and brightens'. These are big claims, but I've read great reviews of other products from the brand so I'm pretty hopeful! It's also a very generous sample size to find in a beauty box, and I'll almost certainly be taking this on holiday with me over the summer.

onelittlevice beauty blog: Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or* | £19 per 50ml
sample size value £3.80

I'm a huge fan of Nuxe's original Huile Proigieuse but I've never tried the shimmering version. Like the original version, it contains six plant oils to nourish and soften your skin. However, the addition of the shimmering particles also means that this dry oil helps to enhance the appearance of sun tanned skin, and also helps to conceal small imperfections. This makes it a great choice for summer evenings when you might want to reveal a little bit more skin than usual. I'll probably be reaching for this to use on my legs and arms, but it's designed to be used anywhere - even as a hair oil.

one little vice beauty blog: Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil* | £18.50 per 0.34g
sample size value £6.15

This is one of the products that I was most excited about when I first opened Look Fantastic's July Beauty Box. Benefit have recently completely re-designed all of their brow product packaging, and they've released a range of new brow pencils. However, I recieved shade 6 which is pretty much a straight-up black colour - completely unsuited for my colouring. So, this is a great addition to the box but a lot of people won't get a good colour match rendering this somewhat useless. Alas, this is one of the problems with beauty boxes.

onelittlevice beauty blog: Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek and Lip Stain in Pink

sample size value £12.99

BellàPierre get quite a lot of exposure in Look Fantastic's monthly beauty boxes, but it's nice to see a new makeup product making an appearance. This Cheek and Lip Stain has a nice creamy texture that would work on both the lips and cheeks, although for my taste I find it a little drying on the lips. The colour is a straight-up baby pink with a blue undertone. I find it a little bit girly, but it certainly looks like it would brighten up a range of complexions.

one little vice beauty blog: Kebelo Anti Frizz Cream

Kebelo Anti Frizz Cream* | £16.99 per 50ml
sample size value £5.10

I love the Kebelo hair products that I've tried so far. However, most of them have all come from Look Fantastic's beauty boxes. Many people, myself included, might be feeling a little bored of seeing this brand pop up month after month. Nevertheless, this is a good brand and a very healthy sample size which will allow anyone to work out if it's the leave-in product for them.

  1. I love how in this box you get actual proper products and not tiny sachets of things you can never use
