Maybelline's Baby Lips are seriously hyped in the beauty world. I've seen them on countless wishlists and seen many a person recommend them on twitter. In case you haven't heard of Baby Lips before they're a tinted lip balm from Maybelline which are advertised as giving you the lips you wish you'd been born with. When I took part in an international beauty exchange with Canadian blogger Kathy from LifeOfKSong I realised that I might finally have an opportunity to try them as they're pretty readily available in Canada. I had my eye firmly on 'Cherry Me' as I love cherry scents and the colour looked wearable without being too sheer and Kathy was kind enough to find it and send it over to me.
When I came around to trying it, I was really really pleased when I took this out of the packet and found that it was 100% worth the hype. I noticed immediately that is smelt gorgeously like cherries and wasn't too sweet or fake smelling. The packaging is really cute and feels nice as it's sturdy enough (the product doesn't shake inside the tube) and it clicks shut like Nivea lip balm sticks do. One the lips, the product feels incredibly moisturising and looks really glossy, leaving your lips with a beautiful slick of colour. This is now my favourite tinted lip balm! I prefer the colour and glossiness of it to my fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment and I find it just as moisturising (if not more so) than my Nivea Soft Rose Lip Balm. I can get away with wearing it during the day without much make up but it also looks nice in the evening when I'm more made up, either alone or on top of a red lipstick.
This is one of those products that I can see myself getting through really quite quickly as it pretty much lives in my handbag now. It's also a great product to have around in the Summer as it has SPF 20! All in all I am just in love with it. I'm definitely keen to try some of the other colours/scents in the future, but for now I think Cherry Me was the perfect choice.
Have you tried Maybelline's Baby Lips? What's your favourite tinted lip balm?

ReplyDeleteI found them to be completely drying and after a few days I chucked it. Had to reapply 4 times in an hour. Hated it, never worked for me
