September Beauty Favourites

Where has September gone! It's been such a whirlwind of a month with so much going on. I haven't tried that many new products this month so most of the products in this post (all except one) have actually been longstanding favourites of mine over the summer months too. I've limited myself to six choices so I bring you the cream of my beauty crop.

Oriflame "The One" 5 in 1 Lipstick in Fuchsia Hype*

This is the newest make-up addition to my collection and Fuchsia Hype is just such a bold, stand-out colour that I had to include it in my favourites. The formula of this lipstick is pretty perfect too so it is a product that I think performs across the board.

Seventeen Stay Time Concealer

Since I finished my beloved Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer I turned my attentions to using up some of the other products in my collection. I've had Seventeen's Stay Time Concealer for months now but it never really got a look in until he summer time. I find the formula that nice and easy to work with but it is much thinner than the concealers I've been used to and it does give a lighter coverage. This has been great during the summer when I've been wearing less make-up and although it won't be everyone's cup of tea I have come to really like using it.

Essence Stays No Matter What Waterproof Eyeliner

As I've already said, over the summer I generally wore less make-up and I swapped out my liquid liner for a more natural pencil liner. I found that this liner from Essence has fantastic lasting power considering its very affordable price and I'd definitely recommend it.

Lush Flying Fox Shower Gel

I was given this shower gel as a gift for my birthday and I've been really loving it. It's fresh without being fruity, and has a depth to it which I think makes it quite sophisticated. If you like your shower gels to leave a lasting scent on your skin then I'd definitely point you in the direction of Lush.

Vichy Idealia Serum*

Whenever I remember to apply this serum I always end up saying halfway through the day "what is making my skin look so good today". It's a light illuminating serum that sits really nicely on bare skin or under make-up. I find that it adds a glow to my complexion than many other primers just don't give me and it doesn't irritate my skin or break me out. I really like it and this year Vichy have really won me over with their high quality products.

Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Fragrant Water*

This is pretty much the only perfume I've been wearing all summer and I'll be very sad to see it go! The scent is absolutely gorgeous, really fresh and fruity and I find it last wells considering it isn't a 'proper' perfume. If you're after interesting scents and packaging that is totally gift appropriate then I'd definitely suggest checking out Roger & Gallet's products.

  2. I prefer the Seventeen one to Collection Lasting Perfection - it's a much better colour match and easier to blend xx

    1. I agree about the colour match - I have to mix my collection concealers to get the right colour and sometimes I just can't be bothered! I do think the Seventeen one is very light coverage though, it doesn't always cover my under eye circles the way I'd like but overall I do reach for it the most x
