Look Fantastic June Beauty Box* arrived yesterday, and I wasn't all that surprised to see that it was a travel themed box. With summer fast approaching, we're coming up to the holiday season. However, I was pretty happy that there weren't too many typical "summer" beauty products in this month's box - there's only so much SPF that a girl can get through! Anyway, let's dive in to the contents of Look Fantastic's #LFJETSETTER box.
Elle Magazine*
Another month, another magazine - a great addition to every box! I think that it makes a lot of sense to add these sorts of glossy mags to the Look Fantastic Beauty Boxes, and I'm always happy that I get something new to read at the beginning of every month.
Tan Organic Self Tan Oil* | £24.99/100ml
The first beauty product in the box is the only typical "summer" product that I always expect to see in summer beauty boxes - some sort of self-tanning product. I've heard great things about TanOrganic - you apply the oil to freshly exfoliated skin and can expect the results to last for around four days. I like the idea of using an oil rather than a cream, so I'll look forward to trying this out!
Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream* | £16/300ml
I haven't tried all that many products from Cowshed, and the ones that I have tried have typically come from beauty boxes. That being said, I'm always happy to receive a hand cream as I think they're useful to have around and I tend to get through them pretty quickly. I like the texture of this one - it's rich and hydrating without being too thick. However, the fragrance is unlike anything I've smelt before! It contains essential oils of Grapefruit, Coriander and Cinnamon, leaving you with an unusual warm, and every so slightly "green", scent. It is definitely growing on me, but it isn't the sort of summer fragrance that I would typically reach for at this time of year.
Korres Basil Lemon Showergel* | £8/250ml
In contrast to the Cowshed hand cream, this Korres shower gel has exactly my sort of summer fragrance! I love citrus scents, but the inclusion of basil makes this less sharp and sweet and adds a more mature feel. The size of the sample is perfect for a weekend away, but wouldn't be enough to last you through a week of holiday.
Naobay Oxygenating Cream Moisturiser* | £32.95/50ml
Given the price point, at 22ml this is a very generous sample size - and more than enough to last you through a summer holiday. With 98.83% natural ingredients - with 12% coming from organic farming, certified by Ecocert - this is a skincare product that I'm excited about! It's full of vegetable oils (such as Sesame oil and Sweet Almond oil) and is marketed towards all skin types. For me, this will be a great introduction to a new natural and organic beauty brand.
Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream* | £49/15ml
I never get bored of seeing Caudalie products in Look Fantastic's beauty boxes and this 7ml eye cream represents a generous sample size. This is more than enough to get you through any upcoming trip, and it's definitely enough to thoroughly test the product. I usually use Balance Me's Wonder Eye Cream but I'm looking forward to shaking up my routine and giving this a try instead.
Spa Magik Beauty Balm - in Natural* | £13.50/50ml
This BB cream offers "light tinted coverage" with a shade that's most suited towards fair skin tones. The formulation is very creamy and easy to blend, but the colour is very sheer once applied to the skin. It's the sort of product I do enjoy using during the summer (when I typically wear a lot less makeup) so it will be interesting to see how this compares to my Balance Me and ESPA BB Creams.
Mr Blanc Tooth Whitening Strips* | £24.99/14 strips
I was immediately struck by the strong branding of the packaging, but this is a brand with which I'm unfamiliar. These whitening strips are designed to be applied for 30 minutes (not suitable for pregnant women) and I probably will give them a go. I'm not super obsessed with achieving a glowing, pearly white smile, but I can't deny that there is a huge market for these sorts of products. I'm sure many people will be excited to see these included in this month's Look Fantastic beauty box - and to have been given three, rather than one, is a good move as it means you can better test them out!
I think that June's box contained some lovely brands and some useful products - but I'd love to know what you think about this month's box!
You can subscribe to Look Fantastic's monthly Beauty Box* for £15.00.

This looks likes a pretty good box for the theme. Great variety too x
