Rose Theatre Fashion Show in Kingston

onelittlevice style blog

I'm stupidly late (sorry Louise!) to post about the Rose Theatre's Fashion Show, which is put on twice a year in Kingston. In essence, it's an 'affordable' fashion show where all of the outfits feature clothing that you can buy on the highstreet. I'd never been to one of these sorts of events before but I absolutely loved it! It was so exciting to get excited over clothing that I could actually afford to buy for myself, and on women with similar body shapes to me and my friends.

If you've never been to one of these sorts of events then I'd highly recommend them! By the end of the show you'll have spotted tonnes of pieces that you want to go out and buy, plus, we all recieved a goodybag at the event which included great discounts which we could use on all the brands featured in the show.

During the first half of the show all the models wore "everyday" outfits, from brands like Jaeger, Hobbs, Monsoon, OasisJohn Lewis and Phase Eight. And then during the second half of the show the models wore smarter more formal outfits. Although I really enjoyed seeing how the casual pieces were styled, I really loved all the smarter dressed - some of them were just beautiful! It really encouraged me to pay more attention to some of the highstreet stores that I never normally venture into.

Before, during the interval, and after the show attendees could visit the numerous stalls that were running in the foyer of the Rose Theatre. There were a number of stalls selling independent clothing brands, as well as a couple of stalls where you could get complimentary bleauty styling and pampering. I had a lot of fun meeting the lovely ladies from the Kingston John Lewis Clarins counter, and my friend Ellie benefited from an arm massage before the show.

Tickets for the Rose Fashion Show are £20.00* and there are normally two shows a year - which I hope they keep up with as it's a really fun evening! I'd definitely like to go back for the next one.

  1. Oh, wow, I love all of the dresses! I've never been to a fashion show before; it doesn't help that I live in a small town, in a very small state, either. Lol. Cool events like this one are so rare in my community.
