During May I discovered some incredible beauty products! I've been lucky enough to get to really explore Balance Me's skincare range and I've found two new products that really work wonderfully for my skin. I've also found quite possibly the best mukti-tasking hair product around and the nicest new perfume. Basically, this is the best of beauty from my month - and it's a particularly good serving!
I'm a really big fan of Roger & Gallet's Fleur de Figuier range, and the Fleur de Figuier Eau Fraiche was my favourite scent of 2014. Roger and Gallet very recently released an Eau de Parfum version of their Fleur de Figuier scent and although they're similar there are some notable differences between the two. The Eau de Parfum has a much deeper and richer fragrance as it's much less citrussy than the Eau Fraiche with a much warmer and muskier scent. The Eau de Parfum definitely packs a little bit of a punch when it's first applied and I find that the fragrance lingers for much longer than the Eau Fraiche. Personally, it's exactly my sort of perfume - punchy and noticeable with fruity notes that help to soften the fragrance, making it slightly more delicate and femimine. I love wearing it and it's received quite a few compliments too, and who doesn't love that! I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
Essie Nail Polishes in Geranium and Take it Outside
This month I've been all about these two nail polishes. I had high expectations of Geranium - a hot orange toned red - but Take it Outside - a cool light grey - was an unexpected favourite. Both of these shades are surprisingly easy-to-wear, with one being incredibly understated, whilst the other makes quite the statement. I found that Geranium lasted much better on my nails than Take It Outside but I'm not entirely sure why because on application they both felt as though they had the same formula. Overall, I'm really impressed with both of these and I'd highly recommend them!
Balance Me Radiance Face Oil* | rrp £30
& Balance Me Moisture Rich Face Cream* | rrp £24.00
I've been struggling with much drier skin recently. I still have combination skin because my t-zone is gets oily, but my cheeks have needed much more TLC than normal. I really think that facial oils are a great option if you have combination skin, as they help to even out your different skin issues. Balance Me's Radiance Face Oil has a lovely light teture that absorbs into your skin quickly leaving it looking softer and plumper. I hadn't personally noticed an improvement in the radiance of my skin, but recently I have had quite a few compliments from friends on the appearance of my skin and I definitely think that it's because I've incorporated this facial oil into my routine.
This month I also trialled a sample of Balance Me's Moisture Rich Face Cream, and oh my gosh it is so lovely! It's really hydrating and has quite a rich formula, but it absorbs nicely into your skin without leaving it feeling greasy or overloaded with product. It's really helped to nourish the drier and more sensitive parts of my face and with continued use I think it would make a serious improvement. If you have dry skin then using Balance Me's Radiance Face Oil alongside the Moisture Rich Face Cream would be a good combination.

Burt's Bees Lip Balm in Hibiscus* | rrp £5.99
Burt's Bees were kind enough to send over a selection of their lip product range for me to try out and since then I've been reaching for Hibiscus with alarming frequency! It has the most gorgeous hydrating formula with just the right amount of tint, offering a sheer and glossy wash of colour that makes my lip look fuller and juicier. It's the easiest product to reach for when I want a simple, hassle-free finishing touch. If you think about it as a lip balm then the price feels a little bit high, but if you want a lip product that does a little bit of everything then this is a really great option. I'm going to be checking out the other shades in the range to see if there's a nude option, it would work perfectly with the heavier and coloured eyeshadow makeup looks that I've been enjoying wearing recently.
Color Wow One Minute Transformation Styling Cream* | rrp £16.50
I've spotted Color Wow's haircare range in Space NK so many times without picking anything up, and it turns out that I was seriously missing out! Color Wow's One Minute Transformation Styling Cream is so easy to use, you just smooth a pea size amount through dry hair, and it does so much for my style. It instantly tames frizz, adds a bit of hold and just helps my hair to look better - almost as if I've styled it when all I've done is a boring and basic blow-dry. If you're looking for one new product to add into your haircare routine then I'd highly recommend this one.
