Look Fantastic's August Beauty Box* has arrived and it has not disappointed! Just in case you didn't know, the beauty website LookFantastic offers a monthly beauty subscription service where you can sign up to receive a box of beauty treats each month. Look Fantastic very kindly sent me this month's box for review purposes but I have bought quite a few of these for myself in previous months as I think that they always offer a great range of products and brands. August's box is pretty great and I'm particulalry happy to see Alterna and belláPiere Cosmetics making an appearance.
I haven't yet had the opportunity to try any of belláPierre Cosmetics' products so I was really happy to see a mineral eyeshadow in this month's beauty box. White isn't necessarily the best colour that could have been included but I suppose that it will eventually come in handy, especially as an inner corner eye brightener. I'm really happy to have recieved this and I'm really excited to finally give something from belláPierre a try.

Yet again, here's Look Fantastic offering up another premium beauty brand. Eve Lom's Cleanser is a much talked about product and I know tonnes of bloggers who rave about this cleanser. Personally, I steer clear of a couple of the ingredients that this product contains (they can block pores and cause breakouts on more sensitive skin types) but I know that a lot of people would be really excited to give this a try.

One of my favourite hair styling products is from Alterna but that is the only product I've tried from the brand so far, so I was so so excited to this leave in treatment in this month's beauty box! Although I know many people who haven't heard of Alterna, I consider their products to be pretty luxurious and I'm seriously lusting after half their range. If there was ever a time that I would give a hair CC Cream a try then it would be one from Alterna - don't be put off by the weird name or the unknown brand, I have really high expectations of this!

I do, however, love the sound of a multi-tasking product as I'm usually super lazy when it comes to haircare. This seems to be a bit more of an affordable brand but it's still a very generous sample so you get enough product to be able to really put it to the test and see if you like it.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Mascara | £7.99
In the past I've had mixed feelings about Rimmel's Wake Me Up range - I didn't get on with the foundation but loved the concealer. I didn't ever expect to see a Wake Me Up Mascara but I can kind of see how it might slot into the range as eye makeup makes a huge difference to the appearance of my face. I don't know what to expect at all, but I am happy to see another makeup product in Look Fantastic's August beauty box. A common complaint with beauty boxes is the lack of variety - especially with makeup - and Look Fantastic are really doing a great job at keeping things interesting.
Ormorovicza Budapest Queen of Hungary Facial Mist | £46.00 / 100ml

Here's another luxurious brand getting a look-in! I don't know much about Ormorovicza but I do know that their products are really expensive. Although this sample size is pretty teeny-tiny, I see this as a little extra addition to the box - and it's not a bad one at all. It will definitely help you get an idea of the scent and feel of the facial mist, and it would probably be enough for you to patch test to make sure that it doesn't irritate your skin. I'll be happy to pop this in my handbag ready for the next hot day in London.
Overall, I think that Look Fantastic's August Beauty Box is pretty great. It represents a number of really lovely brands, with a variety of different products an in terms of value it's contents are worth a lot more than the price of the box. If you're looking to buy into beauty boxes then I would highly recommend Look Fantastic's monthly offerings, they're usually always my favourite on the market each month!

Looks like a great box. I've been wondering about Ormorovicza, their products are pretty expensive and I'm curious to find out if they're really worth that much.
