Look Fantastic's February Beauty Box* (£15.00) landed on my doorstep a couple of days ago and I immediately loved the bright Valentine's Day themed packaging. Look Fantastic really do try and pull out all the stops for their beauty boxes, offering surprise box designs, a monthly beauty box leaflet, discount codes, competitions and, of course, a lovely beauty selection. This month Look Fantastic even included a copy of this month's Elle Magazine! But let's crack on and take a look at the beauty products featured in the box.
KMS California Color Vitality Conditioner | rrp £13.50 / 250ml
sample value £4.05
I really love KMS California's haircare range - especially their styling products - and this is actually my first opportunity to try out one of their conditioners. Although this particular conditioner is aimed towards color treated hair I still think that it will be suitable for use on most hair types - I've never tried using a purple conditioner on brunette hair though, so there may or may not be some interesting results!
Lord & Berry Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick in Intimacy | rrp £10.00
sample value £10.00
I was pretty impressed to see a full-size lip product in February's Look Fantastic beauty box. I haven't tried many products from Lord & Berry but this lip pencil has a really creamy consistency with a matte finish. The colour is a very pretty deep pink shade, ever so slightly more wearable than a brown-toned neutral but still channelling the nude-lip vibe. My first impressions of this product are pretty strong, so I'd say this is a big hit for me!
Hi Impact Brows | coming soon
I'm happy to see more makeup in February's beauty box, and this eyebrow palette will definitely appeal to a lot of people, thanks to the range of shades. Personally, I don't think that any of the colours are really right for my brows, but I would definitely use this colours as eyeshadows - especially to line my eyes. The second shade (the warm-toned brown) would really make blue and green eyes "pop"! As I haven't seen or heard about this palette before I don't really know how it performs, nevertheless I think it's a nice addition to a well varied box.
Bliss Body Butter Maximum Moisture Cream | rrp £22.00 / 200ml
sample value £3.30
I don't think I've ever tried anything from Bliss before but this seems like a great place to start. It's described as a body butter but it actually has a consistency somewhere between a lotion and a butter - packing in moisture but with a lighter, and more quickly absorbed, formulation. As the packaging suggests, this cream has a slight grapefruit/citrus fragrance but I have to admit that it isn't my favourite. Nevertheless, this seems like a really nice product and the sample size is perfect for popping in your handbag or travel-bag. I'll definitely be using this up soon!
Denman Mini Hairbrush | rrp £2.79
sample value £2.79
As much as I love a good mini hairbrush, this Denman brush is tiny! It's actually going to be a very handy product for times when I'm carrying a clutch bag (where space is precious!). However, I can't see myself using this sort of brush on a regular basis, it's definitely something for the sort of beauty lovers who already have everything!
Monu Spa Relaxing Bali Massage and Body Oil | rrp £26.00 / 100ml
sample value £9.10
Monu pop up in quite a few of Look Fantastic's beauty boxes, and I'm not complaining! From my experience with the brand, Monu's cruelty-free range of skincare and body care always performs really well. I haven't tried this body oil before but I have very high hopes for it - and the sample size is big enough to really see if it's a product that works for you. Pro tip: apply body oils after a shower or bath onto damp skin, then pat yourself dry and revel in your super soft skin.
You can find Look Fantastic's February Beauty Box online for £15.00*.
