Look Fantastic's May Beauty Box* (£15.00) features some great brands as well as this month's Elle Magazine* (£4.10). In my opinion, this month's box isn't necessarily the most exciting line-up, but it does include some really handy products that I can see myself using up pretty quickly. I am happy with all the sizes of the samples, and there's even a full-size product in there which I'm always pleased to see in a beauty box. In terms of value, Look Fantastic never fail to impress me - so let's crack on and take a look at what's inside!

I was excited to see this new Ren launch in May's Look Fantastic beauty box - it's always great to get your hands on a new product so quickly after its release. I'm already a big fan of Ren's Radiance range especially the Radiance Renewal face mask, can I can confirm that the Wake Wonderful Night Time Facial is a new overnight mask that's supposed to offer "exfoliation, reinvigoration and essential hydration". I'm really excited to give this a try, and the 10ml sample size is definitely enough product to really put this mask to the test.

In my opinion, Vichy skincare is always something to get excited about. I've gone through countless pots of the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light moisturiser, but I didn't initially think that Vichy's LiftActive Supreme moisturiser will be a suitable replacement for me. That being said, once I opened the pot and tried out the moisturiser I was really pleased with the texture of the cream - it has an ever so slightly gel-creme vibe (but not too thin or lightweight), and it absorbs into your skin incredibly quickly. I think that even if you have normal skin then you could still crack this moisturiser out to use it as a hydrating mask once a week.

Eve Lom Cleanser: one little vice beauty blog

Eve Lom Cleanser* | £55 / 100ml

This Eve Lom Cleanser is a cult classic that I've seen making appearances in the beauty blogging world for years now. However, as the first ingredient in the list is paraffinum liquidum - the main component of Vaseline - I just don't know how it can command such a high RRP. The 5ml sample size included in this month's Look Fantastic Beauty Box isn't really enough to properly trial the product, but you do also get a muslin cloth which you could use with your current cleanser of choice. Overall, I'm not super excited about this addition to the box, but if you've been dying to try this cleanser then you might be happy to see it making even this small appearance.

Revlon Coconut Hair Treatment* | £10.95 / 150ml

It might be news to some, but Revlon make quite a few hair products. I've had a full-size bottle of this hair treatment sitting in my sample drawer for far too long now, so this is a timely reminder that I really should give it a try. It has a spray applicator that delivers a cream/lotion textured product that seems to easily absorb once your massage it into your hair. Be warned, it has quite a pungent coconut scent but I find this quite reminiscent of my summer beauty products generally. Again, this is a great travel size and it's probably just enough product to allow you to get to know if you like it.

I've never heard of Ioma Paris before, but I love the way that this product is packaged - it truly takes "travel friendly" to a whole new level! These little beauty pods are started to really catch on, and I'm not hating it. Here you have seven 1ml doses of Ioma Paris' Youthful Moisture Cream, which you can break up and dish out however you choose. For me, this moisturiser is probably more suitable for my skin than the Vichy option, plus I'm excited to try out a new brand.

Wet Brush-Pro* | £12.99

I was really pleased to see another Wet Brush in this month's beauty box. I received a miniature travel-size brush in one of last year's Look Fantastic beauty boxes and I can confirm that it's really great. I have no doubt that this larger size model will perform just as well, and in it's bold orange hue it will make a lovely summery addition to my dressing table.

Decleor Nourishing Cocoon Cream* | £45.50 / 50ml

Decleor is an expensive beauty brand, so even this small 5ml sample is enough to get me excited about its inclusion in this month's box. However, three moisturisers is starting to feel like skincare overkill! But I suppose that all these minis are handy for summer travelling - or, as is more likely for me, weekends away visiting my best friend outside of London. To give the Look Fantastic team some credit, this is a great brand to get involved in their beauty box and I hope we see more from Decleor in the future.
