Beauty shopping was on the back burner last month and I didn't really treat myself to anything new - even whilst I was in Madrid, where I managed to go into a Sephora without buying anything. Although, saying that, there are two rather juicy blog posts coming your way soon which feature some gorgeous bits that I was sent last month - so it isn't like I haven't tried anything new recently. However, sometimes there are products that you fall in love with and just want, regardless of if you *need* them or not - and these five are the beauty bits that I've been repeatedly eyeing up.
These Mac eyeshadow palettes have been available to purchase for a while now but this is the first time I've ever considered buying one. I fell in love with the matte shade in the middle of the palette - Embark - and considering that each shade is £13.00 I quite like the idea of getting eight other colours to play with for just £12.00 extra. These x 9 palettes are quite small, and the shadows are smaller than Mac's normal eyeshadows, but as I very rarely finish eyeshadows I like the variety that this palette offers. Out of all the products on my wish list this is definitely at the top, and it's the product that I think I'm most likely to purchase.
Diptyque Do Son Eau de Toilette - £60.00
I've wanted a Diptyque fragrance for a long time now, and after careful consideration I've settled on Do Son as my front runner. The cost of these fragrances is pretty steep (so much so that I splurged on a Laura Mercier perfume before considering buying one from Diptyque) but Do Son really is unlike anything that I could find elsewhere. I don't know if I'll finally bite the bullet and purchase it this month, but it will definitely happen at some point this year - maybe for my birthday.
Moroccan Oil Heat Protectant - £18.85
I recently started visiting a new hairdresser and she used this on my hair last month - it was pretty much love at first spritz. It can be hard to get excited about essential beauty products, but for a heat protectant I thought this was pretty lovely. If you're a heat junkie - especially if you use over 200 degrees - then this sort of product is definitely worth considering. I'll almost certainly be picking this up as I'm nearly out of my Kerastraight Heat Protectant.
Redken All Soft Shampoo - £14.00
I used a sample of this shampoo when I was in Madrid last month and, put simply, it did wonders for my hair. This Redken shampoo added so much bounce and shine to my hair, and really made it look its best. I haven't tried much from Redken before but I'm really keen to try more from their All Soft range. I'm not currently in desperate need of a new shampoo (I'm currently trialling one from DGJ Organics) but it's one of the products that I'm lusting after the most.
After the really positive experience that I've had with Grown Alchemist so far I'm keen to try some more of their body care range. I had the opportunity to try this hand cream whilst I was in John Lewis last month and I adored the fragrance and the lightweight but effective formula. We'll have to see if I can justify picking up a new hand cream - as I'm currently using one from Antipodes - but this really is something that I'd love to try.
What's on your beauty wish list this month?
i'm curious to try mac palette
