A Massive (Black Friday) Beauty Haul

one little vice beauty blog

I knew that this Black Friday beauty haul was coming... I started to receive emails about Black Friday promotions ages and ages ago and I made a conscious decision to not do any Christmas shopping (or any beauty shopping in general really!) until the Black Friday weekend. I knew I was going to splurge on products for my family and for myself and I well and truly did. This blog post doesn't contain any of the products I bought as gifts (some of which I talked about in my Black Friday wish list), but it does contain everything that I bought for myself. I know I went a little bit crazy, but all the products I bought were either items that I've wanted for a long time or they were things that I genuinely needed to repurchase. I feel as though I made the most of the discounts on offer and everything I bought will last me for quite a long time. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely feeling a bit of shopper's regret at buying so much, but it's somewhat soothed by the fact that I'm also head-over-heels in love with absolutely everything that I purchased.

Kérestase Cristalliste Conditioner | RRP £18.50Black Friday price £11.84
This is my all-time favourite conditioner but it's been out of my routine for a long time. The last bottle I received as a gift and it lasted for about a year. I found that I needed to use such a small amount of product to achieve amazing results - this makes me feel that it's a good investment, even though it's more expensive than the conditioners I typically purchase. If you have long, fine hair then I'd really recommend Kérestase's Cristalliste range, and I'd like to try more of their products in the future.

Kérestase Styling Touche Finale | RRP £19.50 / Black Friday price £12.48
I haven't used this hair serum before at home, but it's what my hairdresser typically applies after I get my hair cut. I've always noticed that it leaves my hair looking incredibly shiny and completely frizz-free, although it can have the tendency to weigh my hair down just a tad (but I think this might be due to the amount my hairdresser uses). Again, I'm considering this as an investment because it'll definitely last me at least three-six months, which at the discounted price feels like a bit of a bargain.

Korres Aloe and Dittany Shampoo Duo | RRP £10.00 / Black Friday price £8.00
I've used this shampoo a couple of times before when I've stayed over at my friend's house and I've always loved how it's left my hair feeling really clean and healthy. I love Korres products but this is my first foray into their haircare range, and between the 2 for 1 offer and the 20% off I feel as though this was another great deal.

Korres Vanilla Cinammon Shower Gel | RRP £8.00 / Black Friday price £4.27
I used this shower gel a couple of years ago and it's my perfect "Christmas" smell - warm, sweet and delicious. Korres shower gels have a gorgeous thick consistency that foams up really beautifully, making them perfect to use as a bubble bath too. I'm really happy that I've repurchased it, especially at such a great price too.

Konjac Sponge Puff with Bamboo Charcoal | RRP £6.99 / Black Friday price £5.59
I'm going to say that this is probably the closest that any of the products in this haul comes to being an "essential repurchase". Konjac sponges are incredible for cleansing your skin - especially if you have sensitive skin that's irritated by flannels and muslins cloths. You can use the sponges just with water or with your usual cleanser, I like using them in either way. I've been repurchasing them for over a year now and it's always nice to get a discount on your favourite products.

Roger & Gallet Fleur De Figuier Nourishing Body Oil | RRP £28.50 / Black Friday price £15.30
We're now definitely moving away from the essential beauty purchases and into the I-just-really-wanted-it territory. I've used Roger & Gallet's Fleur de Figuier Body Oil before and was really impressed with how well it hydrated my skin, and by how beautiful it smelt. I was completely won over by My Derma Center's 40% discount, and as I've been considering a repurchase for well over six months it seemed like the perfect excuse.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita / RRP £19.00 / Black Friday price £15.20
Oh this is a beautiful lip colour! For my birthday I received my first ever NARS Lip Pencils and I fell in love with the Velvet Matte formula - it's creamy, opaque and really comfortable to wear. Dolce Vita is a beautiful shade and it's one that I've wanted for a long time. I'll definitely do a full post on it when I have the time to take some lovely photos that can do the beautiful colour justice.

The Balm Mary Lou Manizer / RRP £17.50 / Black Friday price £14.00
The Balm Desert Bronzer/Blush / RRP £15.50 / Black Friday price £10.50
Both of these products from The Balm were "impulse" purchases, but they fill an important space in my beauty collection. My skin is really sensitive to talc - an ingredient which is found in most powder makeup products - and as a result I don't have very many powder products. I love all my cream bronzers and highlighters but I've wanted to find a longer-lasting powder alternative for a long time. It wasn't until I saw these two products in Topshop and I read the ingredients list that I realised that neither of them contain talc. It didn't take me long to order these online making the most of Black Friday discounts as well as an amazing discount code that FeelUnique sent me because I'd made a purchase. I'm really looking forward to trying these out.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse / RRP £17.00 / Black Friday price £6.90
I love the rich fragrance of Nuxe's Huile Prodigieuse but the expensive price tag has always put me off purchasing the full-size product. However, the Black Friday discount coupled with my FeelUnique discount code allowed me to buy it at a seriously bargain price - it's so good that I don't feel even the tiniest bit guilty.

Total Spent - £108.70 // Total Saving - £51.75 // Percentage of saving - 32%

I'm pretty happy with my Black Friday beauty purchases. I may have gone slightly overboard but I do feel as though I got some really good bargains on products that I've wanted for a long time. With Christmas looming I can't see myself doing much beauty shopping for the considerable future (although you never know) so I'll be living vicariously by reading everyone else's haul posts. Let me know in the comments if you picked up anything on Black Friday or since then, and if you have any haul posts of your own then please do leave me a link in the comments so I can read them :)

  4. Wow, you definitely scored Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse at a great price! I find it very similar to Caudalie Divine Oil - I like mixing it with a moisturiser for an added boost at night. I didn't know theBalm's highlighter didn't contain talc - interesting tid bit. It has such a great texture and is super pigmented - definitely one of my favourite luminisers.
