One Single Pringle's Galentine's Day Pamper

Today is Galentine's Day - Leslie's Knope's celebratory day for women to get together and celebrate. To honour of this made-up holiday I'm gathering the troops and celebrating the old fashioned way, with lots of delicious food... Once the food coma has well and truly hit I plan to retire to my bedroom and engage in the mother of all relaxing pamper sessions. [Pro tip: this pamper would also set you up nicely if you have Valentine's Day plans tomorrow; two birds, one stone!]

I'm going to kick things off by having a long, hot shower. Second only to baths (sadly I don't have one in my current home), showers are my favourite beauty pastime! They might be seem basic but all you need are a couple of luxury beauty goodies to transform them into something quite extraordinary. First, I'm going to reach for Lush's The Rough with the Smooth Body Scrub (£5.95) which is quite simply the best body scrub that I've ever tried from Lush. Once I'm pleasntly buffed and smooth that's when I like to throw a bit of haircare into the mix. I'll shampoo my hair as usual (probably using Lush's Lullaby Shampoo Bar (£5.75) as the lavendar scent is really dreamy) and then I'll reach for Noah's Restructuring Cream with Yoghurt*. I simply adore this conditioner, it leaves my hair feeling incredible (definitely on par with the results that I get from ESPA's Pink Hair and Scalp Mud* (£32.00)) but without the faff of having to use a hair mask.

Once my hair's rinsed and I'm out of the shower, I like to indulge my skin with some body oil. At the moment I'm completely obsessed with Grown Alchemist's Ylang Ylang Body Treatment Oil (£25.00), it's really quick to absorb into my skin and leaves it utterly silky smooth. Whilst that's soaking in I'll pop on an exfoliating face mask, most likely Elemis' Papaya Enzyme Peel* (£32.00). Usually, I'd reach for Ren's Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask (£32.00) but I'm still all out of that for the time being! As this gets to work on my skin I usually like a candle and pop something on to watch. I'm considering starting on Making a Murderer as I've seen so many people talking about it on Twitter, but I'm not 100% sure if I'll like it. Once I'm done setting that up, I like to remove my face mask using a Konjac Sponge (£5.95) before applying some facial oil. At the moment I'm using Aromatherapy Associates' Revitalising Facial Oil* (£45.00), and it's never more effective than when my skin is freshly exfoliated. Since I started blogging I've tried a lot of facial oils, but Aromatherapy Associates definitely brings one of the most luxurious offerings to the table. After use this stuff leaves my face glowing - and coupled with the exfoliating mask it can almost look like I've got a completely fresh face altogether!

The last box left to tick on my pamper list is always a little bit of mani-pampering. Enter L'Occitane's Almond Hand Cream (£8.00), quite possibly my favourite hand cream. Although it doesn't quite leave my hands feeling as good as L'Occitane's classic Shea Butter Hand Cream, I just can't get over how great L'Occitane's Almond Range smells. It's the perfect way to finish off a thoroughly indulgent beauty pamper!
