New Skincare Goodness from Vichy

Vichy's skincare range is packed full of products that I'm keen to try. Everything I've bought, or that I've very kindly been sent to review, has always really impressed me and has usually ended up being repurchased again! Earlier this month, Vichy hosted an event in central London showcasing all of their different ranges and products. I had a great time at the event meeting some fellow bloggers and getting a more informed glimpse at some of Vichy's new launches as well as other products that just happened to slip through the net. I came home with a bag full of skincare goodies, all of which I've since tried, so I thought I'd just share some of my intitial impressions.

Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep* | £26.50

This gel-balm moisturiser is an incredible discovery. Vichy Idealia Range is suited for skin that's prone to dullness - especially due to enviromentary reason sush as pollution or from lack of sleep. The Recovery Night Balm is specifically designed to help fake well-rested skin, and I can confirm that it did not disappoint! I've been using the Idealia Skin Sleep in the evenings (and continued using Vichy's Aqualia Thermal Light in the mornings, which I've been using for about two months) and I noticed an immediate improvement in the appearance of my skin. What I paticularly like about the Idealia Skin Sleep is that the texture is really light and feels very refreshing to use. I can easily see myself staying true to this night cream and using it all up - so a good test for how much I like it will be to wait and see whether or not I choose to repurchase it.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light* | £18.00

Vichy's Aqualia Thermal Light has become my trusty daily moisturiser, and I don't go a day without it. I'm about a week away from finishing the pot I bought at the start of July so I was very grateful to have the opportunity to pick up another pot at the Vichy event. I'm about to start trialling the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum (probably in the next week or so) and I wanted to keep my routine the same so that I could be able to tell if it makes a real difference to my skin. If you have dehydrated skin that's prone to blemishes then the Vichy Aqualia range may well feel revolutionary. I've swapped out heavier creams and oils in favour of this light gel-like moisturiser and I've experience great results. My skin looks and feels so much better and I suffer from far fewer breakouts. Seeing as I'll be continuing to use this for at least another couple of months, I can safely say that I love this moisturiser and I would definitely recommend it.

Vichy Idealia BB Cream Light* | £22.00

For me, this summer has been the summer of BB creams and tinted moisturisers. As I've changed up my skincare routine my skin has improved so much and I just haven't wanted to wear the medium coverage foundations that I used to love. Instead, I've completely fallen for products like ESPA's Radiant Tinted Moisturiser* and Balance Me's BB Cream*. They don't offer much in the way of coverage but with a better skincare regime I haven't needed as much coverage. What these products do is offer a skincare-makeup hybrid that helps to smooth over imperfections and add radiance, to give a lit-from-within glow. Vichy's Idealia BB Cream is a similar sort of product, offering similar results. I'm a big fan of the Idealia range so I was very excited to try out the BB cream - so far I haven't been disappointed, but I do think that this products needs a dedicated blog post with before and after pictures. That's definitely in the pipeline, so if you're interested in knowing more then definitely keep your eyes peeled for that upcoming post.

Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation in 05 Porcelain and 25 Nude* | £18.00

Last, but not least, I also recieved another shade of the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation. At the Vichy event I was colour matched to the shade 25 Nude - but I don't know how good a match this is really going to be as I've used the shade 15 Opal in the past and found it too dark. This month Escentual also very kindly sent over the shade 05 Porcelain for me to try, so I'm planning on doing a big comparison post with swatches and before and after pictures of all three shades. Colour matching online can be really difficult so I find these sorts of blog posts helpful, and I hope it will help some of you out there who are considering buying into Vichy's Dermablend range. If you're too impatient to wait then check out my review of the shade 15 Opal, you can get a sense of the colour and coverage from my photos.

So that concludes my run-down of my new Vichy products. Do you use any of these? Is there anything from Vichy that you'd like to try?

*I recieved most of the products in this blog post in a goody bag at an event. Some of the products were sent to me for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
