THIS WEEK'S MOST REACHED FOR: Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch

Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in Shimmering Sand

The Friday before last I went a little bit nuts in Superdrug (I justified this as a 'back to Uni essentials' haul) and just by chance I happened to pick this product up. I've seen quite a few mini-reviews of Rimmel's Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch by bloggers who were sent products to review in-line with the new Rimmel products launching at the beginning of October. But what I haven't seen is a review by someone who really loved it, so this is what this week's most reached for post is going to be all about.

Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch is essentially a cream highlighter but I suppose it could be worn as a blush as the cream is very pigmented and can be applied thickly or blended depending on how you want to use it (see images below).
Thickly applied

Blended

All week as part of my daily daytime look I've been wearing this product as a highlighter along with Benefit's 10's bronzer for a sculpted bronzed cheek (these two products really work well together- and look freshly applied all day long). I know Autumn is upon us (and up in Leeds the weather is a constant reminder of Summer's end) but I'm sporting the only tan I've had all year so this look is working for now at least.

As for the product itself; I've found the packaging to be durable (its held up fine in the warzone that is my freshers' week handbag), the product goes a very long way so I can see this little tube lasting quite a long time and the pigmentation of the cream makes it quite unlike the other highlighters I own. This little tube has currently replaced the usual religious use of my two Benefit highlighters (which no other product has yet to knock off the top spot) so this alone has made it stand out for me.

I'm not sure if I'll be using this without a bronzer (I have yet to experiment with it) but I'm already eyeing up the other shade (Radiant Rose) which I think will work very nicely alongside a pink blush for a 'pinched' cheek look once my tan has faded a bit.

So yeah, this is my product of the week and I really would recommend giving this a try as it has the power to pleasantly surprise you!

You can buy this product in Superdrug and Boots stores or online here, currently on offer for £3.99.

What products have you been wearing all week long?
