Does it make a difference? Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment

I bought Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment as a present for myself for my birthday when I saw a couple of my favourite bloggers (EssieButton and GhostParties)  profess their love for it. According to them this little pot of Origins goodness helps with congested skin and breakouts. That was all I needed to hear really as over the last six weeks I have definitely been struggling with congested skin and have definitely had more spots than usual. The big question though is that at the hefty price of £34 does it really make a difference?

It's very hard to categorize this product as it is very, very light in consistency so it doesn't take the place of a moisturiser. However, it isn't something that I would apply and then rinse off so I wouldn't categorize it as a face mask either. Instead you have to take it's description as a 'treatment' quite literally and just add this into your existing skin care routine. I apply this after I apply my serum but before I apply my moisturiser, and I use this in both the morning and evening.

After six weeks of use (I only add this into my routine when I need it) I've noticed that it does make a difference. When I feel spots getting ready to rear their ugly heads I add this into my routine and I find that they either disappear or that they're about one third as bad as they used to be. For me this is a vast improvement as if I get a spot they are usually ferocious beasts that takes ages to get rid off! However, it doesn't get rid of spots that do surface - to deal with them I have to use a spot treatment. I have found that when I apply this topically, just to congested areas (my chin!), over time with continued use my skin shows improvement but it hasn't completely gotten rid of all my congestion. But I think that super clean living is the only thing that would really do that!

As a treatment I have been suitably impressed with it. Yes £34 is a lot of money but I do think that the improvement it makes to my skin reflects its price. After six weeks of use (constantly on my chin and whenever I need it elsewhere) I have a lot of product left so this sort of skin care purchase is definitely an investment, and one from which I am already reaping the rewards! Expensive skin care isn't always worth it but I really do think that Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment is worth trying if you struggle with congested skin or random breakouts.

How do you deal with spots and congested skin? Are there any products you'd recommend?

  2. This sounds great! It is a lot of money though, especially if it's not very good as a moisturiser, but I think I'll give it a go when I've got enough Boots points :)xo

  11. this sounds great, I wonder how it works?! I dont have anything like this in my skincare routine at the moment and have to rely on extra concealer when any spots show up lol, I'm definitely interested to try this out. Especially if you only use it when you need it £34 isn't too bad as I suppose it would last for ages xx
