STEP ONE: I take all of my make-up off
The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover |
I got this free when I bought some make-up from the Body Shop and its lasting well and is really gentle. I'm a bit of a floozy when it comes to make-up removers, I'm always trying new ones out. If any of you have any recommendations I'd love to hear what you use!
(Also, I just want to add that on lazy days I usually do this step with a face wipe- often by Simple- but I don't actually have any at the moment so I can't include photograph!)
STEP 2: I cleanse my skin
Biore Warming Anti Blackhead Cleaner and The Body Shop Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser |
I use Biore every other evening for a deep exfoliating cleanse, I find the warming effect reallllly pleasant especially not its getting colder. This product does wonders for my skin and I've noticed my blackheads clearing up since I started using it. The Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser is the product I use more often as it is super gentle on my sensitive skin but it keeps spots at bay without drying my skin out. I'd definitely recommend giving this a try if you want a gentle cleanser for regular use.
STEP THREE: I use a toner to calm my skin and make sure it is completely clean
Roberts' Acqua Distillata Alle Rose (Rose Water) |
STEP FOUR: I moisturise
Nivea Pure and Natural Soothing Day Cream and Nivea Pure and Natural Anti Wrinkle Night C |
I recently finished my Aloe Vera Body Shop moisturisers and I replaced them with these two products from Nivea. I've never used a Nivea facial moisturiser before but I've been using these for about a week and a half and I'm impressed and how gentle they are, they offer deep moisturisation without irritating my skin or making my t-zone greasy. The day cream is quite light and sinks in very quickly whilst the night cream is considerably thicker and heavier and doesn't sink in fully but I always wake up with incredibly smooth skin. I recently saw these on offer instore in Superdrug at half price, definitely worth checking out as I think they're great value for money.
STEP FOUR AND A HALF: Sometimes, when I feel I need it, I moisturise a little bit more
The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream |
I don't often use this but sometimes, especially when I'm having a little freak out about getting older, I like to apply this around the outside of my eyes. It's a good product, very moisturising and gentle on the skin, and I'd recommend all of the Vitamin E range by the Body Shop. If you're looking for an eye cream this one is worth checking out.
So yeah, that is my current skincare regime although it does change a lot as I tend to get through products quite quickly. I haven't included any facemasks even though I do use them weekly, this is only because I have a lot on the go at once, do check out my Facemask Friday posts if you're interested though!
What are your current skincare saviours?

I'm really pleasantly surprised by them. I bought them because they were half price to replace my usual Body Shop moisturisers and they've been great so far. I'm going to give the whole Nivea range some closer attention! xx
DeleteGreat post! I swear by my Clean and Clear moisturiser. Anything else in my skincare routine could be replaced if it had to be, but if Clean and Clear ever threatens to discontinue this, I'm going to stockpile every last one! Hehehe. x
