The Best Exfoliating Products for Face and Body

one little vice beauty blog: face masks scrubs and body scrubs review

If you missed my post about my current skincare routine then you might have noticed that I didn't mention any exfoliaters. Today I'm going to be filling you in on those, and I've got two body exfoliaters that I'm going to briefly touch upon too, I'm just a sucker for smooth skin!

My first recommendation is Nourish's Kale Enzymatic Exfoliating Cleanser* (£16.50) and it's the best all-rounder of the bunch. It's gentle but effective and I never have to worry about my skin being left looking red. Not only that, but it's also 100% natural and 81% organic and it really does live up to its claims of leaving your skin looking smoother and more radiant. If you have less sensitive skin then you might prefer Ren's Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Face Mask (£32.00) which offers incredible results after every application. I've found that with regular use both of these enzymatic cleansers have seriously helped improve the appearance of my pores and congested skin.

Another option is manual exfoliation - the sort where you use a scrub to exfoliate your skin. The only manual exfoliater that I really love is Dermalogica's Daily Microexfoliant* (£41.75), a powder that you mix with water right before you apply it to your skin. On contact with water it transforms into a cream and you use it to buff your skin before washing it away. It's very effective without being too harsh which makes it perfect for those with clogged pores and sensitive skin.

Despite avoiding manual exfoliation on my face whenever I can, I absolutely love manual body exfoliaters and I've got two great recommendations depending on your skin type. Botanicals' Body Polish* (£20.00) is a really effective scrub, but it can feel a little harsh on sensitive areas of skin. If you like to exfoliate areas of your body like your décolletage then I'd highly recommend Clarins' Exfoliating Body Scrub* (£25.50) which is very creamy with tiny microexfoliating particles. It's very gentle but offers fantastic results, I'm absolutely hooked!

  8. Lately I've been using Akamuti Sweet Orange Facial Scrub and I can say it's the best facial scrub I've ever tried! It does a great job and is very gentle at the same time, leaving my face soft and moisturised. Clarins Exfoliating Body Scrub sounds great too, I'd love to try it out!
