July Favourites

Oh, the month of July has been a fruitful month indeed! It's been one of those months where I've fallen in love with a lot of new stuff, and also fallen back in love with some old faithfuls. There isn't as much make-up as I had thought there would be but what is included are three items which I have been loving.

Glossy Lips  I wrote an entire ode to the glossy lip this month. It's a beauty look that I've overlooked for a long time but this month it struck my heart with a vengeance and I've been rocking lip gloss almost every day for the last month. My two picks of my collection are my Mac Cremesheen Glass (it's in a limited edition shade but the formula is to die for so I'd highly recommend them) and Revlon's Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pink Pop (shown in the old packaging but available in Superdrug and Boots in the new packaging).

Chemical Exfoliaters I don't think I'll ever use a manual exfoliater again! Okay well, I might do, but I've found that non-manual exfoliation has done absolute bloomin' wonders for my skin. My red cheeks are seriously less red and my skin's texture is nothing short of dreamy. The two products I'd recommend (highly) are Ginvera's Green Tea Exfoliating Marvel Gel* and Elemental Herbology's Facial Glow Radiance Peel. I've used them both almost to death and will have to repurchase a chemical exfoliater next month because I really can't see myself picking up a manual exfoliater for a while.

The Summer Fragrance I very luckily received Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine as a birthday present this month and it is all I've been wearing scent-wise. It's nothing short of gorgeous and it makes me feel happier every time I smell it- what more could you want from a perfume!

The Old Favourite This month, despite receiving a new hair oil for my birthday, I rediscovered my love of Macadamia's Healing Oil Spray. My hair has been a little distressed over the last few months but you wouldn't know it when I use this! I like to use it as an overnight treatment by spraying it liberally onto the ends of my hair and also as a leave-in product by spraying it only the ends of my wet hair after a shower. I think it's fabulous and the spray makes it much easier to use than my small bottle of Moroccan Oil.

The Styling Duo I delved back into the world of straight hair this month and these two Lee Stafford products (the Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist and the Poker Straight Dehumidifier) were a pleasure to use. I feel as though they really minimized damage to my hair and kept my hair really super straight all night, even in this crazy hot weather that England's been having. I'd definitely repurchase both of these in the full size when they run out.

The Lone Lipstick  Despite being somewhat of a lipstick junkie this month has been glossy lip central so my lipsticks have very much been left unloved, except for this one lipstick! Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in Violet Pop was a cheap bargain buy that I posted about earlier this month. It's a knockout of a colour, a really vivid berry, and looks gorgeous smudged onto lips. This is the only lipstick I've really reached for this month and if you check on fragrace direct you might still be able to pick it up for 99p like I did!

Those were my favourites this month and I can see a few of them being used a lot next month too. What beauty products have you been loving this month?

  5. I really want to try the Macadamia Healing Oil Spray... sounds amazing and the spray bottle would be very convenient! And Elemental Herbology is a brand I've been really interested in lately. The radiance peel sounds great!
